Enjoying a healthy, fit life for as long as possible. This is one of the challenges of the IHU HealthAge and the aim of the Longevity Clinic.
The Longevity Clinic is the first university hospital in France to offer an advanced health and functional check-up, based on the expertise of professionals in the field of ageing and age-related pathologies.
Drawing on the scientific advances made by the IHU HealthAge and progress in the field of geoscience, a multi-professional team will offer a comprehensive assessment, combining clinical, biological (incorporating the latest biomarkers of ageing) and, if necessary, imaging studies. This assessment will make it possible to detect age-related chronic diseases at an early stage or to prevent them by identifying and targeting their risk factors, as well as preventing or limiting age-related loss of function (mobility, memory, vitality, etc.).
At the end of this assessment period, personalised, multimodal interventions targeting lifestyle (physical activity, nutrition, stress, etc.), ageing risk factors or identified chronic pathologies will be put in place. Collaboration with a network of medical specialists in the field of ageing will enable specialised follow-up if necessary. Close links with the IHU will provide access to new, validated anti-ageing therapies and, for those who so wish, the opportunity to take part in clinical research.
Thanks to this innovative, progressive care programme, healthy longevity is now a reality.
