The Toulouse University Hospital (CHU de Toulouse) uses data collected during patient care for research purposes to advance knowledge (better understand diseases, improve treatments, identify risk factors, etc.) and thereby improve patient care and the quality of services provided.
In this context, a transparency portal (https://data-transparence.chu-toulouse.fr) has been created to list all research projects conducted by the CHU that have started since June 2025.
This portal details all the mandatory GDPR information, including, for each project, the identity of the data controller and the purposes justifying the reuse of the data.
For each project referenced on the CHU de Toulouse transparency portal, a contact link is available so that participants can ask any questions regarding the new processing(s) of their data and exercise their rights.
With this information, participants can choose to exercise their rights of access, rectification, restriction, objection, or deletion of their data. The display of projects on the website page constitutes information for this data reuse, and therefore, no individual additional information letter will be sent to participants for each research project. The procedures for opposition for each research project will be indicated on this website.
