As part of the prevention aspect of the \u2018ageing well\u2019 bill, a prevention check-up will be carried out at ages 60-65 and 70-75 to identify any weaknesses and define a personalised prevention plan. Patients admitted to the clinic will continue to benefit from and have access to the latest innovations designed to improve their health and slow down the biological ageing process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The University Longevity Clinic will be a \u2018pivotal\u2019 clinical structure for the IHU HealthAge, providing a continuum of care and research in the field of healthy ageing. It will be used to model a holistic, multidisciplinary and integrative approach, as well as to promote teaching and clinical research in the field of healthy ageing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The objectives of this clinic will be to :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Target the <strong>population from 50-60 years old<\/strong> (prior to frailty\/dependence)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Enable a dual approach:\n<ul>\n<li>By <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">pathology<\/span>: individualised assessment of the risk of major ageing-related diseases<\/li>\n<li>By <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">intrinsic capacity domain<\/span> (ICOPE)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Implement a <strong>personalised care plan<\/strong> targeting both intrinsic capacity domains and individual risk factors<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Continuously integrate <strong>diagnostic\/therapeutic innovations<\/strong> from geroscience research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In view of a paradigm shift in healthy ageing, IHU HealthAge aims to advance research in geroscience through the deployment of the WHO\u2019s ICOPE programme.
