It is based on the implementation of preventive actions centred on function and on the acquisition of new mechanistic knowledge of the biology of ageing, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the elderly and reducing healthcare costs and loss of productivity. This will open up opportunities for innovation in the service of an ageing but sustainable society!
